I really like Gewürts, and this one is classical exsample with enough acid to carry the fruit. Typical aromas of tropical; Lychee, floral notes, citrus. Palate has medium acidity, Off-dry. Full body. Pronounced pinneaple flavour. Well balanced. Longn and intense finish. Reasonable complexity. Very good

Informal mixed bag white wine tasting, not enough time for detailed notes.
One of the best dry Gewürztraminer’ on the market. Save it for 10-20 years in the cellar, it will get better.

3.8 stars for this concentrated Gewürztraminer!
A pale golden color with thick legs.
On the nose medium+ intense aromas of elder flowers, pineapples, lemon peels, a lot of floral notes and stones.
The dry white has a medium- acidity.
It’s medium+ bodied with 14% ABV.
Medium+ intense flavors of elder flowers, pineapples, yellow apples, lemon peels and flowers.
A long and mouthcoating finish with elder flowers and apples.
It’s a bold white wine snd very floral.

What’s better than take-out Indian food and an Alsace Gewurtz? That was our hit pairing yesterday.
From a top Alsace winery, the Gewurtz has a strong perfumed nose of rose water, lotus, cantaloupe, and patchouli. A sensual mouth of peach, marzipan, glycerin, and basil. A lingering ginger finish to offset the sweetness.
It stood up well to the curries and daal we had and even helped the naan and paratha.
I toasted @[1|10821251|Richie G], the avatar of Alsace wines.

A hint of saffron, dried apricots, dried mango, mature peach, honey... all that without being a “grains nobles” or “vendange tardive”.
