- Vintage: 2016
- Appearance: Light gold
- Nose: Apple
- Taste: Apple, grapefruit
- Other: Bone dry Riesling with high acidity. Very light and easy drinking. From the first Riesling wine estate of the world in Johannisberg, Germany.

Clearly better than the Gelblack

Had it with Norwegian Christmas dinner “Pinnekjøtt” (salty sheep’s meat). Unfortunately it was not the perfect combination. This dish needs an even stronger wine. Otherwise it would maybe be better.

Semi dry, decent herbs and floral notes but lacks much fruitiness (it’s there but subtle - apricots, pears) Paired decently with a hearty soups.
From the world’s oldest Riesling winery but probably not their best wine.

Off-dry with a semi sweet finish. Viscous mouthfeel. Apple, petrol, peach, and floral notes on the nose. M+ body with quite a long finish. Sone grip but also very smooth due to some sugar.

Simply excellent. The sweetness is light, center-front, and very affable, like a ripe fruit salad but especially reminiscent of a mellow golden honey. The acidity and minerality morphs these qualities, leaving a savory sautéed vegetable note on the tongue, which is coupled with a surprising amount of astringency.

Nice wine but the Trocken or Spatlese are better values.
