Berry strong with tons of dark berries, bitter chocolate, cinnamon, licorice and oak. Velvety texture and full body, long finish. Delicious!

The first impression of this is milky, oaky and flowery aroma. Medium but a bit more full bodied like a velvet. Very clean finish, bit strong impression. Very typical style of Bordeaux and Saint Emillion. Much better to drink as finalle.

Nose molasses behind red & black fruits. Palate oaky, smooth. Tannin is soft, elegant and silky. I opened 2H in advance, but it got better and better with more integrated tannins while drinking. I had the second wine of this from 2010 VT in the past. The impression remains good and reasonable. A long life ahead, but enjoyable at this point. Not much complexity, but very good wine from very good year. With wagyū sukiyaki and root vegetables.

This is a really good bottle of Saint Emilion Bordeaux. The rich taste of Bordeaux lingers in a really good way. The oak flavors in this wine make it a 4.5. We really enjoyed it...Buy this one...now.

An opaque dark purple in the glass. The nose is redolent of blackberries and blackcurrants and a hint of smoke. The merlot component emerges on the palate with red fruits and cooking spices. In the glass the wine continues to evolve, developing savory and herbal components over a couple of hours. Medium bodied, concentrated but not lush. Nicely structured with enough acid and tannins to cut through an unctuous braised short rib. A well made food wine.

HBS, strayed Right from where I should be this week. St-Emmy GC, well maybe a baby one, Christmas gift from vendor so pedigree is suspect. '16 was good vintage, nose of sous-bois, blackberry, earth notes with black cherry, supple tannins and round juicy acidity, fleshy style with fairly light body, medium finish with cocoa, leather and clove spice . Incorrect varietal shown on V, is 91% Merlot 9% CF

Kamimura Wine Pairing
Nose & Palate: Slight barnyard and funk.
Lots of dark fruit, pencil shavings, cassis.
Well-balanced.
Paired with two courses: chargrilled Hokkaido Wagyu and Shibetsu Lamb Noodles. Went better with the first.
